About the Role  

As our Senior Director of Platform Engineering, you’ll be instrumental in defining and managing the NinjaOne platform. In this high-impact leadership role, you'll shape the evolution of the NinjaOne Platform—guiding how we build, scale, and deliver our products to customers around the world. We're looking for a strategic, execution-focused leader with deep experience delivering software at scale, a passion for exceptional customer experiences, and a strong track record of platform innovation.

Location - We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states - CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, *IL, KS, ME, MA, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WA. We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL, if you prefer a hybrid option.  

  

We hire the best software engineers, but experience in our stack can’t hurt:NinjaOne is built on Java, Kotlin, C++, Golang and Postgres, supporting millions of user endpoints and running as a scalable cloud service in AWS.  Knowing large-scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design and client-server architecture will help you.  

    

What You’ll be Doing  

  • Be our subject matter expert for all things Cloud and Platform related at NinjaOne  

  • Collaborate with our Development, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, IT, Compliance, and Security teams to manage, develop and grow existing Platform to deliver NinjaOne products globally   

  • Contribute to the strategy on market positioning, identify appropriate architectural concepts needed to expand globally and improve resiliency of the NinjaOne product portfolio   

  • Own product requirements to ensure features needed to scale NinjaOne products globally are prioritized with Product Management   

  • Ensure customer confidence in NinjaOne by designing and building robust services to meet NinjaOne Service Level Agreements   

  • Manage and grow Platform team to support the needs of NinjaOne’s products  

  • Ensure the governance and commitment to compliance frameworks such as ISO 270001, SOX, SOC-2, NIST 800-53 rev 5 and more.  

  • Identify bottlenecks and drive efficiency in our SDLC process  

  • Help manage and mitigate runaway cost in our Cloud Infrastructure  

  • Other duties as needed   

  

  

About You  

  • 10+ years of experience as a DevOps, SRE, IT Systems Engineer within a product organization    

  • Extensive knowledge of CI/CD concepts, Cloud IaaS, Development frameworks, and integrating off the shelf tools to enable scale of SaaS products  

  • 3+ years' experience working in Federal or GovCloud environments  

  • Demonstrated success working cross functionally in fast past products organizations with development first mindset   

  • Hands-on experience leading/growing/managing DevOps/SRE/IT Systems Engineering teams   

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.   

  • Innovative and creative, comfortable with ambiguity and charting new territories and tackling new initiatives   

  • Strong technical knowledge, and a knack for solving complex problems with simple solutions

  • Bachelors degree in technical field preferred

*Due to operational policies, NinjaOne is unable to hire for this role within the city limits of Chicago. We will consider all qualified candidates who reside outside of the city proper or are willing to self-relocate.  

  

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, and PTO. For roles based in California, Colorado, or Washington, the base salary hiring range for this position is $225k - $350k per year.  

  

For roles based in New York, the base salary hiring range for this position is $225k - $350k per year.
